We’re two bags of bones broken and talking
Of people we both know in common

— Owen, “Bag of Bones

An autobiographical sketch of sorts. I’d been fiddling with this D6 to D6 diminished change for a while now and was finally able to turn it into something. It’s a dour but lighthearted song featuring my son’s Learn-To-Play harmonica in a different key. Came to discover breathing in through a harmonica is called a draw. Also came to discover a draw is hard to sustain.

my setup

I live and work in San Antonio, Texas. I play a 2002 Gibson J-50 and a 2002 Fender Cyclone II. I recently acquired a 1973 MSA Pedal Steel. I’m learning to record with a Tascam Portastudio 424 MKIII.
